When I hear this song I don’t think about some romantic relationship. I think about the person I loved most in this world - he’s gone now - and I honestly believe I lost my mind when he died. I don’t think I’ll ever love anyone that much again and that scares me. But I don’t want to love anyone that much, either, because if they leave or die I’ll die again. There’s only so much left of me. I’d like to keep it. I don’t want anyone to have it. I don’t want to give me away again.
